Jüdisches Kriegsgedenkblatt (Vienna, Austria : 1914-[1917?])
Summary: "Jüdisches Kriegsgedenkblatt" was a memorial newsletter for Austro-Hungarian-Jewish soldiers who perished in World War I. Each issue contains portraits of fallen soldiers, many of whom were described as "fallen heroes." At the end of each issue are short essays and poems with war-themed topics written by Jewish authors. The first issue, for example, had a brief story about how a soldier's Hungarian-Hebrew prayer book saved his life when he was shot on the battlefield. Edited by M. Frühling.
